Those damn Russians get me every time! There are many books I'm quite ashamed of not reading, but The Brothers Karamazov is a thorn in my side. This one bugs me so much because I got about two thirds of the way through it after three months of reading and I just couldn't continue. I've got nothing else to say that won't make me look like an idiot, so there you go.
No one really likes Russian literature and people who say they do are LIARS.
I had an English teacher in high school who was getting his masters or something and was all obsessed with Russian lit. He made us read Crime and Punishment. I read approximately three pages of it before giving up. Who makes a bunch of 16 year olds read THAT? Mean.
He's the same teacher who, when I told him that I wanted to teach English, told me not to. He was kind of weird, now that I think about it.
